Rick Mace - Chief Executive Officer
Rick Mace joins PacketExchange with over 30 years experience in high technology with a proven track record of growth for a number of publicly-held and private corporations. Prior to PacketExchange, Rick served as COO of Tekelec, Inc. (NASDAQ: TKLC), which he joined through the sale of Steleus Group, Inc., where he served as CEO. Before Tekelec, Rick Mace was CEO of PakNetX, Inc.
Additionally, Rick was Vice President of Marketing and Sales of Digital Equipment Corporation‘s $6.2 billion Service Division and was founder of Bell Atlantic Network Integration, Inc. and Bell Atlantic Software Systems. Contact Rick Mace
Mike Ing - Chief Operating Officer
Since joining PacketExchange as Chief Operating Officer in 2005, Mike has taken over the day to day running of the business operations, with responsibility for hitting the end to end business goals. Prior to joining PacketExchange, Mike worked for Level 3 Communications, where he held a number of senior posts, spending 2 years working in the HQ in Denver, Colorado, running the Global Customer Services function, playing a key role in the integration of acquisitions, and running the softswitch engineering group. Mike returned to Europe in 2004 to run European Operations.
Prior to working for Level 3, Mike worked for Cable and Wireless in the field of submarine cables, leading the team responsible for engineering, procuring and delivering major cable systems world wide. Mike is a graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with further qualifications in Telecomms from Essex University and in management from INSEAD. Contact Mike Ing
Chris Verdin- Chief Financial Officer
Chris joined PacketExchange in January 2006. He is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years board-level experience of emerging companies in the UK, EU and US. Immediately prior to joining PacketExchange Chris was CFO at an international firm of headhunters for venture-backed companies in the TMT sectors where he helped establish and grow the US operation of the group and prior to that he was based in Madrid where he managed the public share offering of a leading Spanish internet portal. Grant Kirkwood - Chief Technology Officer
Grant joined PacketExchange in February 2010 following the acquisition of Mzima Networks, of which he was the founder and CTO. Grant’s role from Mzima continues with PacketExchange as he oversees all aspects of the company's technology vision and execution, focused on a high level commitment to customer care. Grant brings to PacketExchange over 10 years of senior management experience including Netixs where he operated its managed services and hosting operation and Vision Imaging, where he built the company's network backbone and geographically-dispersed server farms. Andy Johnson - SVP Sales and Business Development
Andy joined PacketExchange in May 2004. He has worked within the industry for 16 years and held senior sales and management positions within the ISP, Carrier and Equipment Manufacturer communities, including PSINet Europe, Level 3, 3Com and Motorola. Contact Andy Johnson
Bob Kelly - VP of Network Operations
Bob joined PacketExchange in early 2007 and is responsible for day to day service delivery, service support, IT and network engineering. Prior to PacketExchange, Bob was European VP for Architecture and Engineering for Level 3, reporting dually to the European President and also the Global CTO. Before Level 3 Bob held management positions at Cable & Wireless, where he helped form the Global Networks group and was responsible for their undersea cable engineering and project management team. Chuck Stormon – VP Strategic Accounts
Chuck joined PacketExchange in early 2008 with over 25 years experience and a proven track record of value creation for both publicly-held and private corporations. Prior to PacketExchange, Chuck served as VP Strategy of Tekelec, Inc. (NASDAQ: TKLC), which he joined through the sale of Steleus Group, Inc., where he served as EVP Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Before Steleus, Chuck Stormon was President of Coherent Networks, Inc. and Chairman, CEO and Chief Scientist of its predecessor, Coherent Research, Inc.
Chuck holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering. He has been awarded 3 US Patents and is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, a member of the Seed Capital Fund of Central New York and a Board member of two privately-held high-technology businesses.
