PACKETEXCHANGE SECURES TOP RANKING IN INDEX OF FASTEST GROWING TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES
2005-09-26
Network services provider, PacketExchange, has been ranked as one of the UK‘s fastest growing technology companies this year, in a poll conducted by the Sunday Times.
The Microsoft Tech Track 100 index ranks privately owned technology companies according to rate of business growth, which is based on recorded sales logged over a two year period between 2002 and 2004. In this time, PacketExchange recorded a growth rate of 152.24% to secure the coveted fourteenth place slot, comfortably within the top twenty. The prestigious Top 100 list also included 10 of PacketExchanges‘ customers including Bet365 and Gamma Telecom.
PacketExchange has repeatedly hit the headlines since its launch in 2002, attracting inward investment from high profile backers which include Cazenove Private Equity and Bank of Scotland Equity and continually expanding its network to take into account new locations. The company acquired pan-European metro area interconnectivity specialist XchangePoint in January 2005.
Kieron O‘Brien, CEO of PacketExchange commented:
“To feature so highly in this prominent ranking of technology companies is testament to a great deal of hard work, focus on recruiting the best technicians and sales team in the market and most importantly ensuring that our services are innovative and tailored to meet the constantly evolving needs of our customers. This is a great way to launch into the final quarter of 2005.”
