2006-11-29
Palo Alto, Calif., November 29th 2006 – Itiva Digital Media, the first cost-effective, high quality video Content Delivery Network (vCDN), has partnered with PacketExchange, the leading global provider of private high-speed internet transport services. The collaboration provides a full spectrum of data transport solutions to organisations that rely on the internet for product and service delivery.
“Delivering the high quality, low cost benefits of Itiva‘s vCDN requires a firm network foundation,” said Michel Billard, CEO of Itiva. “We‘re building a rich media delivery network on the most advanced network infrastructure available. In PacketExchange, we‘ve found a partner that goes beyond bandwidth supply and provides reliable, high quality end-to-end data flow.”
Under the agreement, Itiva will directly connect its vCDN to the PacketExchange network infrastructure. PacketExchange will offer Itiva‘s services to its customers that require video transport, while Itiva will provide PacketExchange‘s products to organisations that wish to optimise network connectivity. Together, they will offer a complete solution to customers with complex data distribution requirements.
“Our partnership with Itiva is a world first,” said Kieron O‘Brien, CEO of PacketExchange. “We‘ve combined the power of PacketExchange‘s IP infrastructure with Itiva‘s turnkey HD/DVD quality video delivery, resulting in an integrated solution ideal for all types of internet-based businesses. As more and more businesses seek an alternative to the public internet, PacketExchange is in a prime position to deliver high quality, low latency internet services at a cost that any internet business can afford.”
