Telewest is a market leader in broadband internet services, with half a million subscribers in the UK.
 
They are constantly looking to lower their operational network costs and at the same time deliver a better service to their internet customers..
 
The Solution
In 2002 Telewest decided to trial ProXimity and DireXion to see if they could acheive cost reductions and service level improvements. The results that Telewest experienced by moving their traffic to the PacketExchange network were so significant that their usage of PacketExchange services increased fivefold within one year, and continues to grow.

The “fixed yet flexible” commercial structure enabled Telewest to prove the measurable benefits of PacketExchange services

The PacketExchange commercial offer enabled Telewest to trial PacketExchange services at a minimal initial cost, but to increase their usage and decrease their unit costs even further as the benefits became proven.
